February Carnival preparations continue.
Carnival - celebrated on the Monday and Tuesday just before Ash Wednesday.
Tobago's carnival celebrations are on a much smaller scale than Trinidad.
Tobago invaded by weary masqueraders, visitors and guests from Trinidad.
Tobago Carnival Champions Concert.
March Leatherback turtle nesting season begins - ends in July / September. ?
Public holiday on 30th. - Shouter Baptist Liberation Day.
April Easter public holidays on 21st. (Good Friday) and 24th. (Easter Monday)
Easter Monday - Mount Pleasant sports and cultural activities.
Easter Tuesday - Buccoo Goat and Crab Racing.
Carib International Game Fishing Tournament at Pigeon Point from 11th. - 14th.
May Tobago Sailing Week. Annual four day regatta (Apr.29-May 01) - including traditional races for "bum boats"
Angostura/Yachting World Regatta: Crown Point / Grafton
Public holiday on 30th. (Indian Arrival Day)
June Public holidays on 19th. (Labour Day) and 22nd. (Corpus Christi).
St.Peter's Day (29th ) Fisherman's Day Celebrations - Charlotteville.
July The Tobago Heritage Festival (mid-July to early August)
August August 01 - Emancipation / Tobago heritage carnival style festival in Scarborough.
The Great Race - annual Powerboat Classic starts off PO.S. Trinidad - finishes at Store Bay, Tobago.
August 31- Independence Holiday
September Annual Carib Tobago Cycling Festival.
Tobago Open golf Tournament at Mt. Irvine.
October Sea Festival at Mt. Irvine.
Malta Carib International Cycle Classic.
Tobago Fest - mini carnival type festival: 3 rd. to 5th.
November Fun Fish Tournament (18-19).

January Spectacular Chutney Soca Review.
Calypso tent's doors open.
February Soca monarch competition - Skinner Park, San Fernando.
Carnival - celebrated on the Monday and Tuesday just before Ash Wednesday.
March Phagwa festival celebrating the Hindu New Year, usually around the full moon in March.
Bathtub Derby, anything that floats racing down the Mayaro-Nariva River.

30th. - Spiritual Baptist Shouter Liberation celebrations.
April Festival of La Divina Pastora in Siparia.
May Pan Ramajay - steel pianists (musicians) compete during a week long festivity at National Stadium.
Point Fortin festival activities.
Hosay - A Muslim mourning ritual for the martyred grandsons of the prophet Mohammed.
Indian Arrival Day celebrations - 30th.
June National drama festival of folk art.
Eid-ul-Fitir: Muslim New Year, occurring around June and celebrated with day of feasting.
July The Tobago Heritage Festival (mid-July to early August)
August 1st: Emancipation Day - replaces Columbus Discovery Day, celebrates the abolition of slavery.
Santa Rosa Festival - Celebrates the cross-cultural relationship between the Amerindians and the Roman Catholic Church.
The Great Race - annual Powerboat Classic starts off PO.S. Trinidad - finishes at Store Bay, Tobago.
31st - Celebrating independence anniversary of Trinidad & Tobago from Great Britain.
September Annual Carib Tobago Cycling Festival.
Tobago Open golf Tournament at Mt. Irvine.
Republic Day - Military parade and festivities celebrating the anniversary of Trinidad & Tobago's declaration of republic status.
October Divali - Also called festivals of lights, a Hindu holiday honoring Lakshmi, goddess of light, beauty, riches and love. It is the climax of a long period of spiritual preparation and involves the lighting of hundred of small lamps (dewas), dancing and a lot of hospitality.
Sea Festival at Mt. Irvine.
November Pan Jazz Festival Jazz and steel pan music are featured separately and fused together. Attracts big name jazzists worldwide.
December Parang Festival - Spanish Christmas songs are the focal point of these festivities.
